I started working out as a hobby in high school. This hobby quickly turned into a passion for understanding the way the human body worked and lead me to complete a Baccalaureate degree in Bio-Medical Science at the University of Guelph. Following my undergraduate life, I gained experience in personal training where I further expanded my knowledge of exercise. I then chose to pursue a career in physiotherapy to combine my interests in functional fitness, anatomy, and physiology.
I completed my Master’s in Physiotherapy at McMaster where I gained valuable clinical experience in orthopedics, post-surgical rehabilitation, and pediatrics, as well as developed a framework for taking a holistic approach to client management.
I am looking forward to completing many courses to optimize my knowledge of injury prevention and rehabilitation, including manual therapy and acupuncture.
Outside of the clinic, you can find me walking/hiking outside, working out at Odeon Fitness, or exploring Hamilton. I couldn’t be more excited to be part of the team. See you soon!

I’m proud to be a leader in the Performance and Wellness community, with over a decade of experience in coaching and training. My passion for health and wellness traces back to my upbringing in North Vancouver, following my immigration from Iran at age 9. I leveraged sports as a means of connection, excelling in football, basketball, and rugby throughout my school years. I earned a scholarship at Western University, where I graduated with an Honours Specialization in Kinesiology.
From there, I pursued a master’s degree in Kinesiology specializing in coaching, and I’ve honed my skills working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and of all ages and abilities. My career spans across international sport, university settings, integrated clinical settings, and youth development programs.
I joined McMaster University in 2014, and spearheaded physical development systems, enhanced student support communication, and collaborated with medical teams, provincial/national governing bodies, dieticians, and mental health professionals. Now I lead the performance program and have commenced my teaching journey as a sessional instructor within McMaster’s School of Kinesiology in 2016.
My vision extends beyond university athletics; I am committed to nurturing client goals and educating the community on the importance of movement and fitness. I live in Dundas with my wife, Lauren, and my two children, Eloise and Salar. Beyond my professional career, I find enjoyment in playing sports, hiking with my dog Gus, going to yoga, and enjoying quality time with loved ones.

Looking back, it’s fair to say my passion for movement started in my own backyard trying to keep up with my older brothers as a kid. As I got older, this passion caught fire through my love of the Olympic Games and my own personal experiences figure skating, playing soccer and volleyball, or whatever other sports my friends were playing at the time.
Choosing to study Kinesiology at McMaster University for my undergrad was a natural extension of my interest in human movement, and it was over these 4 years that it really grew into a passion. I studied Physiotherapy at the University of Toronto and I’ve been lucky enough to live and work in North Vancouver, BC for the past 3 years where I discovered the joy of trail running, camping, hiking and skiing.
I’ve always looked back on my time as a student at McMaster fondly and am very happy to be back in the Hamilton community to apply what I’ve learned over the years to help people in both staying active or becoming active for the very first time. The human body never ceases to amaze me and I love getting to share my knowledge with my patients through education, hands-on therapy and individualized exercise prescription.
Outside of Function 101, you can find me spending time with my large extended family, playing outside with my fiancé Ryan and our dog Daisy, or listening to a great album while enjoying some delicious food.

It started with Yoga. I’ve taught both small and large groups in various locations across Hamilton. I’ve worked with clients of all ages and movement capabilities. As a Certified Yoga Instructor, I really valued the importance of healthy movement patterns, posture awareness, and mobility exercises. My Yoga career inspired me to further my learning of the human body and achieve more skills to assist those out of pain.
My strong curiosity to learn led me to become a Registered Massage Therapist. I graduated from the Ontario College of Health and Technology in Stoney Creek where I received a Diploma in Massage Therapy. My education and experience have taught me a wealth of knowledge and skills that I am so excited to share with all of you! As a manual therapist, I have the privilege to connect with clients on a one-on-one basis and establish an effective treatment plan based on their individual needs. Everyone has different movements, injuries, and goals and this encourages me to stay dedicated to continuing education and perfecting my manual skills to deliver the best form of care.
I am a born and raised Hamiltonian and outside of the clinic you may catch me enjoying the many hiking trails and sipping an Americano at a local cafe.
I am very excited to be a part of the team and I am looking forward to working with the Function101 community!

Growing up living and breathing sports, I have had my fair share of aches, pains, and injuries that helped me develop a passion for rehabilitation through my personal recovery journey. This fuelled the flame to obtain my Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology at York University and soon after I graduated from Mohawk College’s Massage Therapy program.
As a RMT, my goal is to help you have a better quality of life and improve your day to day function no matter your activity level. Injuries are a natural part of life and should not be a barrier to whatever it is you want to do. I enjoy helping and being a part of someone’s recovery as they break through that barrier.
Everyone’s body is unique, and your treatment plan should be too. By creating personalized treatment plans to help you improve functionality, mobility, strength, and pain management, I utilize various massage techniques such as Swedish, fascial, cupping, myofascial trigger point, and stretching to help with these goals.
Outside the clinic you can find me playing hockey, playing drums and creating music with friends, getting lost in a good thriller/mystery novel, and forever trying and failing to tune my espresso machine to the new roasts I buy.

Growing up, I was always active and I always loved playing sports. I have come to realize over the years that movement is my passion. My career path was established after I had a major “aha” moment in Grade 11. I chose a course called “Healthcare”, thinking it had practical information that sounded interesting. That is where I met an extraordinary teacher whose passion inspired me to pursue a career in healthcare, with the desire to help people live better and healthier lives. (Shout out to Mrs. Farquharson!).
Whenever I have had an injury, I have always been curious about what exactly caused it, or how I could prevent it from happening again. That growing curiosity in addition to my desire to learn more about the mechanics of the human body inspired me to take Kinesiology in University, followed by obtaining my Doctorate of Chiropractic (DC) from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. I have worked in many clinics throughout my educational career and I have had the privilege of helping individuals move and feel better which has become a true passion of mine.
I want to help you live your best life. I use an active, individualized approach to patient care. I pride myself in utilizing specific assessment strategies to guide my treatments. I like to explain why I am doing a particular treatment or intervention so that you understand the process. By using a mixture of manual therapy, education, and movement prescription, I will help optimize the way you move and improve your day-to-day experiences to reach your goals.
Outside of the clinic, you can find me on a golf course (searching for my ball in the trees), watching the Leafs go on a Stanley Cup run, or spending quality time with friends and family.
I look forward to being a part of your journey toward better health!

I have always been fascinated by the amazing things that the human body can do. Watching my favourite athletes come back from injuries to be even stronger than before got me interested in how I could be a part of that process. For me, PT combines my biggest passions into one neat package - helping others feel better and more confident, promoting an active lifestyle, and building genuine connections with others.
I completed my undergraduate degree in Kinesiology at Western, where I got hands-on experience as an athletic trainer and fitness instructor. From there, I went on to complete my PT degree at McMaster.
I am a true believer in empowering others to achieve the things that are important to them and to advocate for my clients in any way I can. I like to create a team dynamic with clients where we work together to develop a treatment plan that is right for your unique goals. Through a combination of a tailored exercise program, education, and some hands-on work, we can get you to wherever you want to be.
Outside of the clinic, I love to cook cool new dishes from around the world, enjoy a good hike or two, and am always trying to pick up a random new skill or sport. I recently began running triathlons and am currently working on swimming in the right direction. I also love to travel when I get the chance and just got off a hefty post-grad trip!
Thanks for reading and looking forward to seeing you on Locke Street!

As an RMT I value communication and manual techniques such as passive neuromuscular facilitated stretching, fascial release, and Swedish Massage. Taking your individual goals and matching them with your treatment is an important step towards feeling your best self.
